It’s been a while since I’ve updated on monolid makeup tips and the sorts. Well, I have a good one for you ladies out there who have been googling for help and stumbled across my humble little blog.

Last week, I dragged my sick ass to Pavilion to have a brief walk with my cousin. We ended up buat kecoh in a MAC counter. Luckily my cousin bought a decent amount of items else I’d think it’s unfair to leech information out of the nice cute guy there.

This guy is talented AND friendly.

But before anything else, I need to RAVE about Mineralized Skin Finish, the Natural series. I ain’t no foundation girl because no matter how tarnished is my skin with all those pimple scars, hey it’s still mine. I feel like wearing a sheet of PVC over my face with liquid foundation, so I try to worm my way out using a little bit of concealer and some light powder.

MAC’s MSF are mostly used as bronzers and an all-over powder according to most people. But I had a keen interest on this wonder powder ever since reading some of the makeup blogger’s raving about it. I just needed a teeny bit of coverage to even out the places that I spot conceal. Hence, I requested the MAC artist to try it on me.

It. Was. LOVE!

Pardon the cat-like smile, I dunno what I’m doing lol.

You can vaguely see my acne scars, but that is hardly to matter, coz part of it was rubbed off accidentally during the application. If the concealer was freshly applied, your complexion is just oh wow.

The MSF went OVER my nearly washed out Estee Lauder blush and bronzing powder, yet my own vague pink flush is still visible. Now that’s what I love. It’s creepy to cover up whatever color you have with foundation and then slap on some fake pink tone daily. *Shudders*

Here’s a close-up picture for you to refer to when you’re attempting to draw a winged eyeliner, ladies. For monolid girls, ‘draw a thin line close to your eyelashes’ DOES NOT WORK!!!!!!11 Because our eyelids are pretty fatty compared to those with double eyelids, that’s why drawing a thin line across your eyelashes work in vain. Once you open your eyes, the line just disappears totally! Not sexy I tell you.

Wide open, and the wing effect is still visible yet does not make you like an opera singer. Might be too overwhelming for some girls though, that’s personal preference, can’t control it. *Shrugs*

Gals out there with keen eyes will also note that he contoured my eyes with nude colors. The result? A fake dimension to bring out the eyes. Cool huh? Will attempt my own version next time. Too busy to play with my eyeshadows lately. T.T

Here, a close-up picture of the area that you should put on the eyeliner.

For monolids, always remember the rule of thumb for eye makeup does not necessarily apply to us, so we need to make some changes so that it suits our special type of eyes.

Oh and! I found new love in nude lipstick. I finally know why I never love to put on lipstick… It’s because…

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

I’m too cheap to buy my own, I’ve been fooling around with my mom’s colors. Aunty color how can suit small chaborkia like me?!!!!!!!

For this new-found love, I gotta thank my dear sister-in-law for her makeup supplies. Too busy to put it on yet cannot resist buying stuff. -.-

Hope you enjoyed this post!

I am utterly delighted!

I think I didn’t blog about this, but a few weeks back I inflated my non-existant balls and barged into TARC’s very own Center for Professional Education. In short, a counseling center for those wishing to continue their studies overseas.

However, my experience there was far from what I’ve come to expect. Usually when you mention counselors, some sickeningly pleasant individual who tries to brainwash you persuade you because got commission or to guide you in something comes into mind.

That person ought to be pleasant and friendly and helpful AND should be professional. It is a professional center by name leh, how can not professional?!!!!!!!!!

One of my friend’s in Lowyat forums introduced me to a certain counselor there. There was so many to choose, I didn’t know who to approach. We’re in an overloaded world, eh? Le sigh.

Just when you think a friend’s recommendation ought to be good, boy was it the worst choice I had made.

That retard (no gender to protect privacy of the he/she person) looked at me like a nut case when I announced that I would like to seek counseling for studying PR in New Zealand. Retard kept uttering extremely snide remarks that were way beyong what I expect from an educated person, especially one working in a counseling center.

How can you make your client feel like shit, as a counselor? On a more extreme scale, let’s just say I’m a timid little girl who is easily intimidated. I will feel like shit after a shitty consultation and I might commit suicide it might ruin the timid little girl’s dreams of a possibly great future.

But fortunately, I had the decency to seek help from more deserving people. After consultation from my Program Supervisor and my Head of School for my faculty, they were more than willing to help me in my attempt to be the first ever nut case person to attempt to pursue a Degree in Mass Comm in a New Zealand university.

That’s right, not Australia, not UK, not Canada. Why New Zealand? Duwan tell you, later the place become infested due to too much commercialization, tee hee hee. In fact, if my darling’s college didn’t have a bridging with NZ universities, I wouldn’t have looked into this possibly better, and cheaper alternative, as compared to the ones readily available like the ever famous choice of Malaysians, Australia, at the flick of my daddy’s money.

With this, I give a kudos to my HoS and PS for all the assistance they are ready to give me. So touched leh! Finally there’s people who are reliable to talk and confide in. Thank you two so much!!!!!!!! ^^

On a side note, do you guys really believe in Education Fairs? Never for me. There’s always monetary benefits involved behind all these Fair Fair thingie. Agree? That’s why I never had someone or thing that I can actually put my trust in to guide me, except for my parents. Friends? If only they can give me decent advice, but nope, none so far. Lots of advice for the latest skincare, maybe. Lol. JK JK.

Deep conversations with people who are in high positions of the college also made me discovered some grey areas of the education system of TARC that I have always criticized in a despical manner.

You see, I am forever against the 60% exam, 40% coursework policy set down by TARC all the time. It was due to my dad’s firm belief that this was the ‘right’ way to study that I wound up signing up to enter the college with a heart full of doubt. Yes, I spent first of my few semesters whining, complaining and even more whining about things I’m not satisfied of.

But alas, life’s like this, there are ALWAYS, ALWAYS grey areas that are unknown of, unless you tread upon it unintentionally. Turns out the decision to uphold the 60% is not due to the Faculty being old-fashioned. Nope. Instead, there are heaps of reasons behind it. This, I shall not elaborate further. Not like people care anyways? Hmmph.

I can frankly say that as I’m moving nearer and nearer towards the end of my second year, I’ve started to appreciate lots of things that TARC has to offer. And although I cannot get some of the things that I expect of an institution, I can say that so far it has done a superb job on educating us PR students. The event, the coursework, I believe they are all pretty competitive.

But… Let’s not talk about the exams. The amount of spoon-feeding is not something I’m proud of, but I’m grateful to have it. It’s the 60/40 thing butting in all over again. If only courseworks account for the 60% of our grade. Le sigh le sigh le sigh. Let’s just see the event, we shit bricks just to do it, but what do we get in the end? Just 20% marks in total and a 60% exam to worry about, when we barely have time to breathe. How can lah like that.

To compensate your boredom of reading this entirely rubbish post, I shall terrorize enlighten you with my leng lui picture.

Me and my leng lui mom. Miss her, hope she is enjoying her holiday. And don’t squint at my handbag, it’s not a LV, I’m too high crass for fake LVs. ^^

K lah I’m really too tired to edit that flabby arm. It’s not mine damn you! It’s because of some wide angle lens that my dear borrowed but have not yet mastered, hence the shortening of my long slender legs and a bit of distortion. Tee hee hee.

PS: And I still will forever complain about the abysmal quality of TARC toilets. NO excuse nor any grey areas for that one! LOL.

I hereby, the Chaborkia of this blog, beg you to tell me what the hell is this and how the hell can I get rid of it. I’ve tried cleaning it with a dry cloth, wet cloth, vacuum. Sure, it can be rid of, but it’s not a permanent solution. Come a rainy day and it grows again! All over the cupboard I tell you.

And Thirsty Hippo doesn’t work either. What else does?

A wardrobe, is supposed to be a stationary piece of furniture that shouldn’t cause you problem 10 years from now.

But barely a year, and it has gotten mouldy. Wtf.

Now, please, anyone got experience in getting rid of this fungus thingie? Do tell me okay.

You don’t necessarily have to search inside a prestigious PR compapny to look for the best PR practitioner.

Just today, I experienced the best PR ever done by someone extremely close to me.

My mom.

Just when you think mundane shopping for groceries in a wet market (pasar) is dirty business that only aunties know how to do, think again. You think it’s all about price-haggling with some fat and gross hawker?

Think, seriously, again.

Well, I found out that my mom turned out to be the best PR ever. And she’s just, a mom. Not bred into a PR by education, but one by personality. And for that, I love her so much.

My mom’s off for a holiday and that leaves my sister-in-law in charge of the household chores. Mundane, yeah. But you think it’s easy to think, calculate, estimate and prepare food for a family? No it isn’t. If you’re a guy with high dignity and refuse to enter the market, think again how great your mom, or wife, or sister is in doing all the ‘dirty’ business for you.

And that comes to my point. My mom has established lots of good relationships with the pasar people and it made things a hell lot easier for inexperienced grocery shoppers like myself and my ah sou. Just throw a smile (surely you need to be sincere, we PR people are NOT liars in essence) and a greeting and the people there are all eager to help you.

But is it because of that smile? No, it’s not just that. It’s all the effort to maintain these good relationships, courtesy of my mom’s efforts. Without her mutual relationships with these people (some might think they are insignificant, but think again I tell you), the sellers will just throw the stuff at your face and don’t even bother to help you out.

And one thing about my mom is, she treats everybody sincerely. Why haggle so much with a seller since their intention is only to sell something and gain some profit? Although you may save a few bucks in the short run, think about the long-term benefits. People get to know you, they know you are sincere, and they treat you well in return. You don’t even have to voice it out and people are all eager to give you the best items and prices they can. Long-term relationships the thing, people.

Picture this: Your mom’s off on an emergency and you never done all the cooking before. Do you know how to prepare the stuff that is usually taken care by your mom? If so, do you know the exact proportions needed to feed you and your family members? These are all variables that can’t be taught, but you need people who know to give you guidance. If you never established good relationship with people who are experienced in these, will you be able to fork out some help? Only if you met with a good samaritan, but what if the seller’s busy treating 101 buyers? So free to choi you meh.

Geez, writing this makes me miss my mom. *Sob sob* Hope she’s enjoying her holidays. Meanwhile it’ll be back to me in charge of household businesses.

Night night!

I’m baffled at the amount of people cheering for my newfound ‘freedom’.

Why do kids these days like this sort of ‘freedom’ so much? And when I say ‘kids’, let me define them this way. They’re kids who just found themselves all grown up with boobs (barely), and gained the privilege to drink, smoke and club. And ‘freedom’ for them means going out late night, drinking alcohol and doing all things parents have been trying to divert us away from.

Not that people who do these are ‘bad’ people, it’s just… I never understand the need to do all this, once your biological clock struck 18 years.

So fun meh? Seems that everyone is in a rush to grow up. Don’t say teenagers or teen-dults, let’s talk about the real baby kids.

They’re fed with all sorts of AHA, DHA or melamine milk powder, then they gain all sorts of abilities that babies 10 years ago couldn’t. Now, you see kids who have barely grown up, flaunting their newfound ability to shoot the most vulgar things that even I myself am not aware of.

-.-

Who clicked the fast forward button in the kids’ bodies?

Does this picture make my point clear?

OMGWTF did they do to the kid?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So fast wanna become a prostitot liao.

Okay, then let’s resize my point to a larger scale. People my age. All rushing to ‘grow up’. When their mentality is barely there. LISTEN UP, I said mentality. If you’re mature enough, by all means you should know that I’m not talking about you.

Come on, let’s see. If you start night life and taking alcohol at about 20 or 25 or even 30 plus, is that too late? You have millions of light years ahead to do whatever damage you want to your body. Why start so early, at the tender age of 16-18? Being youthful very sat lai (discourteous) meh?

I’d rather immerse myself in so-called kid activities, thank you very much. Shopping during normal daytime and sleeping when I should, and not sacrificing my night time just to get ‘high’ or to score guys (although, that sounds fun and empowering, LOL sorry dear ).

Although… It’ll be fun to try out how night life feels, if my current guardians allow, that is. Muahahaha I always contradict myself. But then again, if I were to do these activities on a daily basis, I’d make sure I earn my own moolah first. How can your parents already pay like crazy for your exorbitant shopping expenses and education, and you still demand money to ‘de-stress’? No way!

And if you’re talking about doing all those to ‘de-stress’, let me ask you, do you have 10 kids to feed? No? Do you have to pay for your house’s installment? No? Do you work 12 labourous hours to earn a wee bit of cash for your miserable life? No? Then you do not deserve the luxury to ‘de-stress’ using my abovementioned methods! You’re just a kid, for goodness sake, and your only stress comes from your peers, an insurmountable amount of homework (haha I admit that’s stressful, but I don’t want to de-stress using old man method), and nagging from your elders.

So really, who the hell clicked the fast forward button? I can hardly catch up, man.

PS: I miss you, my dearest partner-in-crime.

Muahahahahahahaha.

To take revenge of the pain that I caused towards him, I got two of my ripe pimples popped after he pinned me down. Ouch. >.<

As a result, I had to do a SOS mask to restore my face condition. See lah I look hideous with a mask on. Dun want show you my face.

Sometimes what my mom preach isn’t necessarily incorrect. No matter how bothersome or irritating the advice is, you cannot deny the fact that she has eaten lots more rice and salt compared to yourself.

I had a firsthand experience on these moments, where I tried to shake off long-winded advice from my mom, which I deem unnecessary, but eventually came true.

This post will be idiomatic. Either you get it, or you don’t. LOL sorry but the Chaborkia wears her face proudly on this blog, anonymity is no longer something I can afford.

You just obtained a little plant seed that you proudly exclaim to everyone around you how great it is. You thought it is of noble stock, just like the very plant that bore the tiny little seed. You thought you had it’s roots covered - meaning you anticipate greatness from the seed because you thought you knew. You knew, because it came from something superior, it should be this way with the offspring.

How very wrong that was.

As you brag about your anticipation of how great the seed will grow to become, the people around you share the excitement - they are also expecting something grand to be nurtured from the seed. A beautiful, tall tree that will bear succulent fruits for us to savour.

As the plant grew and grew, you started to notice imperfections on it’s bark. Sensing that this seed is of bad gene, you start to chop down the very thing that you planted, and bragged about how great it will become.

Isn’t this the common case of slapping your own mouth, where you thought you knew the situation very well, but end up had everything topsy-turvy and fucked up?

Seriously, sometimes sticking to good old mommy advice is the best favour you can do to yourself.

Don’t meddle with things you do not understand, people.

But, I hear you argue that you say you understand the circumstances fully.

Well, let me ask you this: Is it any of your business?

Yes? Then I let you pass.
No? I ask you to GTFO.

If you are NOT involved, DON’T think you are in control of every situation, when in actual fact, everything totally is out of your control.

Should I be amused that my readers fell for my lame joke, or should I be ashamed that I lied?

Oh well, I’m bemused. XD

To those who took my joke seriously and didn’t get the catch point, I’m so sorry. Don’t say I didn’t warn you! I did actually… Look closer.

Anyway, the double eyelid thing was a hoax. I didn’t intentionally do it, as Janice dear suggested. This is where things get exciting - How the hell did I manage to do that without any extra help?

Yes, you heard me correctly. I did not put whatsoever eyelid tape, eyelid glue, double eyelid sticker or the latest eyelid wand to force my eyelids to fold.

You see… The recipe to have that temporary double eyelid look is very simple.

Sleep insufficiently. 7 hours a day is not sufficient for me, and your eyes will grow baggy and all folded. I believe every girl experienced that thing - having 3 or 4 extra eyelid folds when you didn’t have enough sleep or when you give your eyes a rub or massage.

For me, a faint outline of a fold appeared. I did my makeup as usual and put on my falsies. The slight weight of the false eyelashes eventually pressured the eyelid a little, making it give way, and to create the fold I had, in the pictures of my previous post. I’ve gotta warn you though, if your folds are a bit lopsided, eventually you’ll get lopsided eyes also. It’s not obvious, but my eyes are a bit funny after folding itself. LOL.

Simple, right? Don’t want the hassle? Then, DON’T GET ENOUGH SLEEP.

ROFL.
