Law Garden, Ahmedabad’s (Only) Green Attractions.
Small tribute at end of post to remember Michael Jackson. =)
Since my arrival in India, I have never dared take any deep breaths. There were just vast empty lands full of sand and dust and possibly remnants of cow shit… Fresh air was nowhere to be found!

Till we came to Law Garden, Ahmedabad’s only biggest natural attractions. Finally, a decent amount of greens! *Breathes but does it cautiously in case of unwanted odour from passer-bys*

Walao imagine if the ONLY attraction in Kuala Lumpur is just Titiwangsa. No Pavilion, No Suria KLCC, no Bukit Tinggi, no Genting Highlands, no Hulu Langat natural attractions, no other nuts. I will die in KL also. XD

Apparently a favourite local hangout.

The pathway is made of sand. Or an accumulation of dust, if you might. And surely some particles of cow / horse / camel shit.

And some sort of monument thing. I guess Ahmedabad never imagined foreigners invading their land, so their signboards are all not tourist-friendly. I want my edgy bob haircut back. I hate my hair now. T_T The hard water here is causing my hair to break and go astray, not like when in KL it’s sleek and shiny and healthy! T_T I want my soft water back~

Seeeee what I meant with not tourist-friendly?

The pond is filthy!

But on a lighter note… They produce the ideal Disney-type squirrels here! I wonder why Malaysian squirrels only have a boring brown coat… Maybe they should cross-mate… Hmmm…
And… Bless me…

Finally some streak of colorful flowers! Have you noticed my pictures all look like they have a grey cast? That’s not my camera’s problem… It’s seriously dusty here! See the flowers don’t have that vibrance in them… Lack of rain only made these poor babies covered in dust. :(

And that’s the end of my walk through Law Garden. India’s auto rickshaws are really interesting… I wonder where this landline connects to?

Dear Michael Jackson (1958 - 2009),
Thank you for accompanying me throughout my childhood.
The beat, the melody, the impact, the legendary Moonwalk,
It has really touched not just me, but everyone who’ve lived through your era.
There was a brief moment, due to all the bad press surrounding you,
That I couldn’t even look straight in your face. What has happened to this legend, I wonder?
Yet now you lie peacefully in front f us,
Gone forever, right before you took up the challenge to face the world again.
I salute this bravery. And I’ll always salute the great legacy you have created for yourself.
RIP, King of Pop.
I choose not to post up a picture because his face looks awful. I choose to remember him by the tunes that he’s touched all our hearts with.

gosh. tht view of the park reminded me of the view in KLCC. LOL. and your post just makes me dont feel like going to india at all… =/
By looking at your post I get negative feeling about my city from every single of your remarks. I wonder why you are even visiting India if you hate it that much. Every country has something different to offer. so what there are a lot of poor people in India, there are also a lot of different qualities that you could have enjoyed there for example, our people are very friendly, kind, colorful, every state in India has it’s own culture, language, festivals, cuisines. I think it’s pathetic that all you can see is cow dung when there are a lot of beautiful temples, mosques and other historic sites in Ahmedabad. You have to understand that with poverty and over population there would be corruption, and decay and pollution to some extent. Peace.
prettybeautiful,
hehe! been spending too much time inside the mall? LOL! well, India is great to experience a very different culture but not a place where i’d live forever. few months here is all i can take!

well i’m really sorry this entry is not of your liking. i am writing a blog here, not running a website about how great India is. travelogues are supposed to convey what the write herself personally feels and encounters, not reinforcing tons of other websites that say how ‘incredible’ India is. that’s what makes blogs special in essence, it’s something individualistic. if you want all lovey-dovey good comments about India i suggest you hop over to the range of travel sites your country has to offer. and lastly, some people appreciate a good bout of satirical humour. it’s really too bad you do not appreciate it. to each his or her own then!
cheers!
