Another of the girly, emo blogs that you run across on the Internets.
“I can be who I am again. I am finally free. I can continue to dress up, do girly things, make myself pretty, etc…”
Quoted from a friend who just recently broke up with her boyfriend.
Now, wait a minute.
Why does being involved in a relationship make you become another person?! Shouldn’t it bring out the best of you? At least, it did for me. Either you’re tying yourself up, or vice-versa for the guy.
I am amazed at the number of gals who broke up only to say they’re free, and whatnot. Hello? Weren’t you free when you’re with your boyfriend? A loved one is just another commitment, why does it make you transform into another person? Very unhealthy relationship, if you ask me.
If any guy demanded I change myself for no apparent reasons, and not for the better (eg. I think you look hot in short skirts; do more makeup!; do something about that ugly pimple; and various other ridiculous things), I will just give the bugger a tight slap and say good bye.
Luckily my dear has not failed me. Please don’t.
